The CENTER serves as FRTS and FRTC's main headquarters, as well as a drop-in decompression and counseling/crisis center for our first responders who are not ready to go home and feel they have no other place to go after a really bad shift.
The CENTER provides a respite for individuals who need a safe place to land and decompress prior to going home to their families. The environment at The CENTER is warm and welcoming and provides anonymity when requested.
First Responder Trauma Services (FRTS) provides access to specialized behavioral health, and wellness resources for first responders and frontline professionals. Services are delivered by culturally competent clinicians with direct experience in emergency response, ensuring care that is informed by the realities of the work and the environments in which these professionals operate.
FRTS is structured to provide support whenever it is needed, including during high-impact incidents and periods of elevated stress. Services are delivered with responsiveness and discretion, prioritizing timely outreach, appropriate medical and behavioral health support, and continuity of care when individuals or systems are under strain.
Our clinicians utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the needs of this population and are not constrained by arbitrary session limits. When a first responder or frontline professional is in crisis, FRTS provides rapid engagement and coordinated follow-up to support stabilization and recovery.
No One Fights Alone.
At FRTS, we exist to care for those who care for our communities.
Our Vision for ALL First Responders and Frontline Workers
The CENTER is a dedicated facility designed to support first responders and frontline professionals through counseling services and coordinated operational space for First Responder Trauma Services (FRTS). It is a secure, confidential environment where individuals can access timely medical and behavioral health support delivered by professionals who understand the demands of emergency response work.
Serving as a crisis mitigation and resource hub, The CENTER is structured to respond when support is most needed—day or night, throughout the year. Its purpose is to provide a reliable point of care and connection during periods of high stress, critical incidents, or cumulative occupational strain, helping first responders remain effective, grounded, and supported in the work they do for our communities.
With community support and grant funding, FRTS is working to expand the campus at The CENTER to include additional programs and services that promote rest, recovery, and decompression. These enhancements are designed to offer structured opportunities to step away from daily exposure to trauma in a setting that prioritizes safety, privacy, and restoration.
The CENTER also serves as a place of connection, offering auxiliary support opportunities for the families of first responders and frontline workers. These services foster community, mutual understanding, and support beyond the workplace—recognizing that strong systems of care extend beyond the individual responder.
