The CENTER serves as FRTS and FRTC's main headquarters, as well as a drop-in decompression and counseling/crisis center for our first responders who are not ready to go home and feel they have no other place to go after a really bad shift.
The CENTER provides a respite for individuals who need a safe place to land and decompress prior to going home to their families. The environment at The CENTER is warm and welcoming and provides anonymity when requested.
First Responder Trauma Services (FRTS) offers FRTC member agency employees access to an array of medical/behavioral health and wellness resources. Our first responders and frontline workers are supported by culturally competent and culturally aware clinicians who have first-hand experience in emergency response services. FRTS is committed to serving these critical populations 24/7 365 to help them better serve their communities.
Our clinicians offer a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and do not limit the number of sessions our clients receive in the course of their care. We provide an immediate response to a first responder or frontline worker in crisis, ensuring priority outreach, medical/behavioral support and close follow up.
Our motto is No One Fights Alone. At FRTS, we care for those who care for you!
Our Vision for ALL First Responders and Frontline Workers
The CENTER provides counseling for first responders and frontline workers and office space for FRTS administrative and clinical staff. It is a welcoming, safe and confidential location where our members receive immediate medical/behavioral health interventions and support from our professional team.
Our crisis mitigation and resource center is a beacon of hope and help 24/7 365, assuring our first responders and frontline workers that their lives matter, especially on those days when their emotional or physical struggle feels overwhelming and they have lost the capacity for their own self care. We are committed to helping them so they may continue to help you!
With your support and grant funding, we plan to build out the campus at The CENTER so that we may provide our members additional programs and services that offer rest, reprieve, and a safe, supportive place to disengage and decompress from the daily trauma they experience serving their communities. Our auxiliary support services for the families of our first responders and frontline workers allow them to enjoy social events with each other outside their workplace.
